Had anyone had any experience with the swords from Angel Sword? Are they any good? How do they compare to other high end makers? Also are their sword canes of high quality?
Thanks!

Post a link to their web site.
Custom smith? Not production?
If it's who I think it is...the swords are top notch.

Is that it? Looks like very good stuff. The smith listed is Daniel Watson. I haven't heard of him, but that doesn't really mean much. There's no apparent BS in the steel info section, which is good, and the pieces are beautiful. I'd love to have two the "Long Knife" in the first gallery.
I'm intrigued by the "Techno-Wootz" concept, but I can't really comment on it without more info.
From what one can tell from a website, in other words, it looks like a good place to find a good sword. They don't broadcast any of the warning signs I know.

I don't think he is the swordsmith I had in mind.
However, I agree with Don...it looks like good work. I don't see any of the warning signs.

At those prices, those blades are Art.
As such, trying to put them through the rational decision making process you'd use for a Del Tin or Paul Chen is pointless.
Lamborghini Diablos get crappy gas mileage, need frequent service, have lousy sound insulation, and interior trim bits fall off constantly. None of that matters one whit, however, to the man who wants (and can afford) a Diablo.
If you can afford to go do live-steel sparring or tatami cutting with a $2,000-$12,000 sword, I have no business giving you advice on which blade to buy. :uhoh:
(Coming Next Week: Kim Breed torture-tests $4,000 Barry Gallagher custom gent's folder! Does mother-of-pearl and blued pattern damascus hold up to hacking through I-beams and digging trenches? Will the liner lock support a Toyota Tundra? Find out! :D )

Tam,
4K$ is the discount price on one of Barry's knives. :D
