I am new to competitive AR shooting.
I am picking up my rifle next weekend at Camp Perry.
I know that I will need to buy a set of pin punches.
Which sizes will I need.
Which type.
Roll Pin, Roll pin starter punch, pin punch.
Thanks.

Every serious gunowner needs the correct tools for repairs. A set of hollow ground screwdrivers and punches are pretty basic necessities. Buy the sets as they will cover all your bases and will last a lifetime.

Look around and buy good QUALITY tools. Cheap punches and screwdrivers will only cause headaches and frustration. And may actually cause damage to you or the gun when they fail. Brownells or Midway are good for tools. Numrich has some good tools as well as the Grace screwdriver set from SARCO. Having good quality tool is a necessity if you plan on keeping things running on your own. Is much cheaper than paying someone else to do the small repairs.
