Last year I inherited this shotgun from my father. I also inherited a handgun which I am keeping. I have a lot of memories from the handgun but nothing really for the shotgun. My safe is getting crowded, so I was thinking about selling it but I don't really know much about it. Its probably not worth much, but figured I would check anyway.

Its a 12 gauge and is in good condition. Apparently its made my Marlin firearms and also has the label of 'Foremost' on its barrel. The magazine holds two rounds.

Any info and an approximate price would be very helpful. Thanks!

not sure wh you want to sell it.

it wouldn't fetch very much and that's a sentimental thing, isn't it?

Made for J.C. Penney I believe and worth maybe $50 or $75 if you can find someone interested in it. Google Marlin Model 55. I think they were made from '50 to the mid-60s.

Not worth much in the market, but an heirloom. Keep it in memory...

You might get $100-$125 for it, but that is just a guess. Check the auction sites for what things are selling for, but make sure you look at what is bid on and not just what is listed.
