this is for you SE Michigan guys and girls. I want to sell off a couple of my guns. Just want to walk into a gun shop and sell them there. Wont be buying just selling.

Any of you folks have any suggestions as to who will give me the best price based on your experience. Thanks.

Mifan, you are better off selling though a private party. Gunstores will never give you the full value because they have to mark it up to make a decent profit.
What kind of guns do you have?

IMHO, you would probably get more with a private sale. If you would rather do a face-to-face sale, try posting on a Michigan gun board.

I have a Ruger MKII, and a Kel Tec P11 and a Taurus PT145. All of them are less than two years old and the Ruger is probably less than a year old.
I don't like the triggers on the Kel Tec or the Taurus. And the 22 is not doesnt't make a big enough bang when I pull the trigger for my taste.
I like the bang of a 357 Sig or a 45.

This is the way I see it. Say you have a like new Glock 27 that you paid $525 for. The dealer can buy this item new for $425. He is going to offer you between $260-and $350 for your weapon. My guess is more toward the lower amount but remember he needs a mark up. Sell it to a private party. The wholesale is about $190 so put your pen to work. Regards, Richard:)
