Need help identifying brass

I picked up some range brass the other day. Various calibers. Among them were several shells I can't identify. Headstamp has lines quartering the head, as though an "X" goes through the primer. In the left and right quarters are what appear to be the year of manufacture (for example: 7 on the left, 9 on the right). The top quarter is blank, the bottom quarter has 027 stamped.

The case is rimless, like a .45 ACP. It is tapered, top to bottom. OD at the shoulder is .440", .476" at the head. OAL is 2.168" (reminder - shell only, no bullet). Neck length is .316". Neck OD is .302". Inside neck diameter is approximately .265", so I'm assuming the caliber is around .260".

What do I have here?

Thanks in advance.

Load some pictures for us if you can of the brass casing according to the old adage that " A picture is worth a thousand words"

Also look inside of it to see if it is American or Berdan primed.

Case dimensions are closest to 6.5x55 Swedish Mauser than anything else I can find. Dunno about the funny furrin headstamp.

My digital camera gave up the ghost. Youngest child's college graduation last month and subsequent move out of state for first job precludes a replacement any time real soon.

Fitz - Berdan primed, so . . .

Jim - The berdan primers would probably support the 6.5 x 55 Swedish Mauser. Thanks for pointing me in a reasonable direction. I'll try to find that in one of my manuals and see how well the cartridge matches up with all of the other dimensions.
