When I was a tad, I went into the Marines. They had "Mock-Ups" of rifles and pistols that showed the things that happened when the weapon was fired. Are there any of these available for black powder shooters? I'd like to see exactly how all of these parts functioe as the firing process takes place. Just so you have an idea of how old I am, I enlisted in 1950.

I know Uberti makes "inert" versions of their revolvers, which look just like the real ones, but are incapable of firing live ammo (in SAA type guns) or, the percussion cylinders are not drilled though and won't ignite a BP charge. These are what some might use for wall-hangers if they live in areas where real revolvers would be hard to acquire.
I am not sure who carries them or how much they cost, though.
Is this what you mean?

Not a "mock up" also known as a "cut away" rifle, but an exploded view.:D
