Is your wife aware of you posting these pics?

Did you have permission?

Don't mean to pry, I would love to post pics of my wife shooting.

I refrain from doing so--and as a result I get to keep all my teeth:D.

Every relationship has different dynamics and boundries I guess.

I was kinda wondering when that was going to come up too.....
I'll be honest, we don't always remember when we're alone:o. very bad, I know.
when we have new people or our kids though, we always remember to put them on, and enforce the others to as well. sort of a do as I say not as I do thing:rolleyes:

it really is something we need to work on.

does anybody else have any pics to post?

In pix 1, 2 and 4: no fingers on triggers, muzzles pointed in neutral direction.
In pic 3, gun is pointed down range and shooter is obviously aiming at intended target.
All good pix. However, must agree with post #3.

Nice visual.

I notice that the Moiré pattern on the T-shirt is interrupted in the area containing the text.

Did you shop the text onto the T-shirt in the pic, or was the text already on the shirt?

Wild Deuce
July 30, 2007, 07:59 PM
Negative on the photoshopped text. The shirt is ribbed and the material does change texture where the text is printed. I suppose they couldn't print on the ribbed material. It's a baby doll shirt (http://www.cafepress.com/chimborazo.2982481). I also had to compress the image to post it here and that magnified the effect.

Just thought of this ... does anyone have a suggestion about where I could get the picture I posted printed into a decent sized poster? I have the orignal image available full size in JPG or TIFF. I want something more than the garden variety printing at Walmart/Walgreens. I'm hoping for someplace that can hold the true colors in the image. Unfortunately I don't have the equipment to calibrate my monitor so I'm not sure anything I send out for printing would come back exactly the way I see it on my monitor.

Found some pics of a friends wife.

I guess she's always been afraid of guns since her dad commited suicide or something.

After 7 or 8 years of dating (and eventually marrying) a weapons freak, she's finally come around. It was mostly his patience, but it was the gun that I had sold him.

Actually, Iwas just glad to be there when she changed her mind, to finally wanting to shoot her own. Sure, she's still got some safety to learn, (trigger finger,) but now she actually wants to learn.

Nice work, Mr. Deuce!

Kinkos can do a big poster, but it will not be litho quality. More like a giant ink jet plotter. May have some raster lines in solid color areas. If you want true poster quality, 50 will cost the same as one.

The one time I took my wife to the shooting range, she got so bored that she literally fell asleep on a picnic table near the 100m range despite the centerfire rifles being fired.

It's OK though, I usually get really bored when I go to the horse barn with her.

Alot of women need to work on leaning into the firearm, too. Makes it easier to manage, rather than what seems to be the standard "leaning back" pose most new women shooters take.

I taught my wife to shoot everything I had and I taught her to lean into it, her accuracy as a newbie was immediately competing with guys I knew who have been shooting a lot longer.

Of course I don't think the comment was women need to learn to lower their elbow, just that this thread deals with women shooters and so that's what we are seeing.

Great photos. I hate to be a killjoy, but look back through this thread and count how many beautiful pairs of eyes in the photos are UNPROTECTED by shooting glasses.

If you treasure your wives/girlfriends/daughters, please make them wear eye protection!!!!

Sorry to be an old crank, but I have been experiencing multiple problems with my eyes this year and am even more fanatical about shooting glasses than I was before, which was pretty fanatical already- for myself and also for my wife and two sons. I make my boys wear their shooting glasses when we shoot Airsoft, too.

I was shooting at a plate rack just this morning with .45 FMJ and got thunked in the chest more than once from some sprayback chunks of lead and brass. Coulda hit my eye.....

PS- lean INTO that shotgun!!!!

"She's a keeper. Smart too, working on her PhD in Pharmacology." Am I the only one who has a hard time seeing the gun in those pics? I guess i'm just distracted:o

Con... I hope she knows you posted those pics, or you may not be so lucky anymore. ;)

Especially given the ordnance she's in possession of... :D

Oleg, has anyone ever told her that she looks a lot like Kate Winslet? If Kate Winslet wore Hamtaro beanies and carried ARs, anyway...

Supraneurotoxin, I agree. The new thread title is inappropriate. My girls have guns, but they are not at the range.

My Ukrainian wife when she was a teen with a Soviet AK74.
OK, so she never actually got to shoot it.

Now you've got me hankering for a plate of pirogi with sour cream!

Damn You!

If you just have them online, ah well... try again tomorrow.

Some pictures of girls I make try shooting.
My sweet heart is on one of these picture :)
Any of them take a card in the club.
But they all know what is shooting and guns and could explain it's not a bad sport.
In France Girls are not a lot in this sport.
In my shooting club I could say we have 8% girls.
Realy poor.:(

Witch is the % of girls in american shooting club ?

Someone needs to show some of these gals proper stance.

Thier backs are not to be arched.

One foot foward at a 45 will correct that
