Howdy folks. My 99 M1 broke down on me. I tried everything. It would fire 1 shot, cycle the next round and then the hammer wouldn't fall again. I would take a hammer and a makeshift punch and push the safety back and it would shoot 1 shot. I took her apart and found out that my bolt buffer is in 3 pieces. Where does a guy get a new bolt buffer for a rifle that stopped being made in the 1970's?

I love this gun. It was the 2nd gun I've ever owned and my favorite. She's my baby and she's broken. HELP!

Hello
You might check with Sarco or Gun Parts Corp/Numrich Arms also check www.auctionarms. www.gunbroker.com and for a short while e bay as parts sometimes do turn up.
If all else fails run an add in Shotgun News or The Gun List.
Good luck on your quest.
