The wood forend on my 11-87 is loose. It moves and rattles. Can anyone suggest a good fix for this problem? Thank you.

get a new one, or you could try tightening the forend screw.

If you don't have the little square tool then you'll need to remove the buttstock and take the half-oval shaped washer out and use that instead. Works just as well, assuming you have the original stock.

my forend got waterlogged when my apartment burned down and my shotty didn't make it out in time and became loose, so I just replaced it as tightening the forend screw.

@RM - Dunno much about 11-87s, but if they're anything like 11-48s then tighten the hell out of the mag tube cap.
