At our lastclub meeting a few members suggested that we have some falling plates for the pistol range that can be manually reset from the shooting house. I raised my hand and asked... "Is it that time consuming to walk and reset them and are we that lazy that we can't walk to reset them?" (the range is only 30-35 yrds) More discussion resulted in them wanting to have pull strings to reset the falling plates or instead of falling plates to have hanging plates. Boy, can't wait for a plate shoot and watch them keep hangin' when they're hit, instead of actually falling over.

I must say, i would prefer targets that were able to be reset from the shooting area as well. I don't mind the walk, but making everyone stop shooting so I can go reset every time would get pretty old

From personal experience, allow me to assure you that the problem is more likely to be those who DON'T stop shooting when you go to reset the plates!

We use ropes to reset at our club. Much safer and faster. The plates still fall down 90 degrees, onto a reset bar. The reset bar is pulled from one side, resets the targets and goes back out of the way.
