Weight differences in brass brands?

I just got 200 new winny 223 cases to replace my blown out federal commercail stuff and upon comparing the weights, the winny was a good 10 grains heavier than the federal? That makes it heavier than LC brass. Is this difference the norm from brand to brand? Is winchester brass that much thicker on a regular basis?
