With a PhD in evolutionary biology,
I give the concept of "Darwin's Deputy" an A+.

Excellent photography, also. (As always.)

Having said that, may I remind our esteemed host that,
even though the lead photo is a bolt,
the other seven appear to be semi-autos.

The semi-auto & bolt platforms
are not the only platforms on Earth.
We also have pumps & levers.

<ahem>

A basic principle of evolution that Darwin recognized:
diversity is the key to survival of the fittest.

Correction, the others are mostly select-fire devices. Pumps were present but not pictured. No levers on the range this time...but I'll add photos of those soon.

Great photos Oleg... And it was a pleasure to meet you. I'll have to remember my Marlin 1894 for next time.

I'm anxious to see how the pics of me & my AK74 came out...

Almost all of the photos were done in low light, with camera at ISO 400. The range faced East, so the light was also from the wrong direction -- I am amazed that anything turned out at all.

Cool!! My rifle is now officially famous! :D Thanks again Oleg, Frank at ETS, and friends. We at Hero-Gear really appreciate all your hard work and amazing talent. You're always welcome down in Winchester, we'll make sure to create plenty more opportunities to shoot pictures... or machine guns, whatever you like! We're pleased and proud to contribute, let us know if there's anything else we can do.

Your hospitality was wonderful. All of the folks who came with me were delighted by the opportunity to make noise in such friendly, considerate company.

Oleg are all these weapons yours?

None of them are mine. I don't actually own scary, icky guns. Being a manly man, I make do with my fists, as well as sharpened sticks in case of emergency. Sure, it's more work to beat something to death with a branch, but think of the exercise and the emotional satisfaction.

Most of you are already familiar with raquel from my posters. I hear that she is sudden death on deer, too.

Great pictures Oleg!

When are we going to see the rest?
Did you get any pictures of a big ugly guy? :)

Oleg Volk

The guy you mention had an M16 in his hands. I am not calling him ugly, no sir! Probably more photos up tomorrow.

Those are great casing shots! I think the only one better I've seen is the death of Treybig in The Cross of Iron

Lovely ladies, too.

I thought the caption said "Support shooting SHORTS".
Wonder why shorts came to mind.
Great pictures.
