I wouldn't worry too much about keeping my cat inside. I'd be worrying about my KIDS! This psycho is bound to take the next step, and then they'll be finding something far worse on the golf course.

Odd, though. I wonder how he's getting the cats. Outside cats don't usually come willingly.

hmm, we had a spate of that 2 years ago.. cries of satanic rituals, psycho kids, etc etc.

the local paper posted stories very very similar to that story,

turned out to be coyotes had had a population explosion and had run out of food and were going after the cats in town. the vet doing the post mortems for the police couldn't tell a knife cut from a coyote bite.

of course the media played up the psycho kids doing the satanic ritual angle but ignored the coyote expert who was able to accuratly describe the kinds of "mutilations" without seeing the cats.

I'd be looking at reports of coyotes and fereal dog sightings and the locations of the homes (bet they are close to city limits) before I started screaming serial killer. (although serial killer sells more newspapers)
