Size of CZ Compact vs. BHP

I've read a number of posts indicating that the CZ Compact is not all that much smaller than a Hi Power.
Would anybody care to comment on that?
Also if anybody has experience carrying both concealed I'd like to hear your comments comparing/contrasting.
Thanks!
Don.

I have both a BHP and a CZ-75 PCR, which is the alloy framed compact model. They are very close in size, but the PCR's barrel/slide is shorter and therefore a little easier to conceal for me. The BHP feels a little thinner to me though, but I don't know if that is just my perception.
I placed a full size CZ-75B slide on the PCR and that is extremely similar to a BHP.

Actually the grip on the Compact is a SSSLLLIIIGGGHHTTTT bit bigger than the BHP...the Compact is the same grip as a full size CZ...just cut down in length not..diameter.
The BHP has a slimmer grip and is a tad longer than the Compact.
Dont get me wrong...I love them both. Theres a PCR on my hip as I type this..............its got new hakan grips on it also......................:neener:

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the feedback.
It sounds like a compact CZ isn't going to provide much (if any) additional concealability over a BHP.
What I really want is a compact alloyed frame hipower which of course only exists in my mind.
Maybe I'll take a look at the Arcus 94C compact highpower clone.
Thanks again.

Ive compared the Arcus side by side with the CZCompact. Its not advantageous. The grips used on the Arcus and a little thicker frame make it wider than the CZ and the CZ has a smaller, length and width, grip.
A real Browning or FEG with the slimmer grips is a "thinner" carry than the CZ....The Arcus is not.
The PCR with Hakan grips on it...is a very very thin gun. It takes over an 1/8" off of the thinnest grips CZ offers.
An Arcus with thinner aftermarket grips is gonna run neck and neck with the OEM CZ Compact.
Shoot well............

Actually there is a compact Browning made by FN and it is indeed a concealable, sweet little piece!! Great shooter too..

Your talking about the FN HP DA C.....youre right. I bought one to go with my little CZ's...kinda the mini's of the D/A classic world. The guns are FN...not browning. The guns are stellar performers...except the triggers.
Its a shame FN over engineered the FPB system to effect the trigger like that.................
Shoot well
