Close-up of the receiver, showing the lightened bolt carrier and custom bolt release extension. The extended charging handle is by Nordic Components (www.nordiccomp.com). Check out the spiral grooves on the bolt handle - same pattern on the magazine extension nut. Coolness!

The loading port has been milled out and polished, for easier/faster reloading.

Muzzle detail, with Truglo fiber-optic bead. The Modified tube is installed at present, that may change depending on how it patterns. The cap at the end of the magazine extension unscrews, which is handy for cleaning out the mag tube and practicing reloads. The magazine extension clamp is another Nordic Components product - buy their stuff!

So far I've pulled the gun apart, swabbed out the barrel, lubed it up with Slide-Glide, and run through some dry mounting and speed-loading drills. The gun is over a pound lighter than my old Franchi, it mounts like a dream, much better trigger, and it loads just as fast or faster. I plan on taking it out to the range this Sunday and running through some drills - I have an unopened case of Remington Sporting Clays loads that need shooting. :D
