Safety first it is infact legel I checked when I was going to take a trip to georgia last month. I got this info straight from the people who issue pistol permits in GA.,GA. and FL. have reciprocal agreements. Hope this helps

Hey Safety First, it is absolutely legal to CCW in Florida with you GA permit. GA and FL have reciprocal aggreements, and IIRC even without a carry permit in FL you can carry in your vehicle as long as the weapon is secured in such a manner that it takes more than one deliberate movement to bring the weapon into action. Don't quote me on that last bit, but I travel frequently between GA and FL and always carry with my GA permit.

http://www.packing.org/ say that an Alabama CCW is good in Georgia, but on my license Georgia is not listed as one of the states that recognize Alabama's license. Good thing when I travled to Atlanta last week I wasn't stopped for anything.

Georgia and Alabama have recently become fully reciprocal. Now an AL license is ok in GA, and vice versa.

While packing.org has some good information, it's best to get your reciprocality information directly from the state you are visiting.
