Not a compact, but a Micro-Compact Loaded. I'm very happy with it.

I wanted one really bad, but after researching I passed. Check out www.1911forums.com for more info. They have a SA section and you can search and make your ouwn decision.

I have limited experience w/ the loaded compact, but I have owned & shot a few. In my experience, Springfield makes a quality product and their loaded 1911's are some nice guns.
