hi this is my first post, i have been a long time reader but never really got into the conversations. while im excited to make my first post i wish it were under diffrent circumstances :( i have had this little rifle for about a year and a half and it has been flawless up until now. i have fired approxamatly 400-500 rounds through it with out a problem but on a recent hunting trip i shot 2 rabbits with 2 shots then the third was an unusually loud bang and the bullet was berly sticking out of the end of the barrel so i got home and removed the bullet cleaned the firearm and cautiously fired it again with the same results 2 shots then boom!!! now ther is another bullet in the barrel but i am not able to remove it so i just put it down as to not make things worse!!! so what do u guys think i sould do?:uhoh:

Is the ammo you used from the same lot?? You may have had a sqib load that didn't completely kick the first round out, and then pulled the trigger again. Sound like you did it twice advice is to use a cleaning rod and a hammer to GENTLY tap the rounds out of your bore. My advice also at this point is to send it to marlin for service.....while this may have originally been a ammo issue....firing another round after a squib can cause a bulged barrel...and a dangerous situation that could severly injure you or others:(. Also very important mark down the brand and lot numbers of the ammo you used.....and let us know.

absolutely send it to marlin. I agree the problem may have been bad ammo but even if you get the bullet out the gun might never shoot with the original accuracy. I have dealt with Marlin customer service and like most domestic gun makers they will bend over backwards to make you happy.:)

tap the bullet out, clean the heck out of oit, with a foaming cleanser, inspect it , with a light, and a magnifier, check for damage in the bbl. i would throw that lot of ammo away, right now, first. if the inside of the bbl looks damaged in any way, send it back to marlin.
