I would like to order about a 1000 rounds of federal or remington 1 1/8 oz. 7.5 shot, the cheap stuff. What is the best site to order online. I will be shooting clays and dove hunting.

You might be better off going to your local Wal-Mart and asking about buying 10 cases, or a pallet.

Can't say I've ever seen anything on-line for cheaper than they charge.

Ammoman sells Shotgun ammo in bilk, but the largest I've seen is 250 rounds. his prices seem fair and with no shipping charges it makes it nice.

However, it appears he only sells buckshot, and the price of buckshot rounds from any vendor is indeed "bilk."

Shipping costs will eat up any savings. Check out Dick's. Academy, or Gander Mtn. They all have sales this time of year.

I recently bought Remington GL at Walmart for 3.03 per box. They went up the first of the month to more than $4.00. Any big box store can beat that price now. The closer we get to dove season, the better the prices.

iv noticed this as well, at walmart, Remington has gone to $20 per 100rds. while Federal and Winchester is still $17 per 100rds, anyone have an idea as to why, or is this just my walmart?

WalMart(round here) has the Federal or Remington 100 packs for $16.

I bought a case of ammo from Dicks for $32. That's the best price I have found - $3.20 per box.

Occasionally I've seen UMC #8's in 250 round cases at Sam's Club for around $30 bucks. Usually around this time and they'll have pallets of them.
