OK go ahead and yell at me, I know the title was misleading. I had an awesome day at the range today.Took my daughter ( 22 ) and my niece ( 17 ) to the range today. It was the first time my daughter ever shot a gun. I started them out on the Ruger Mark III 22 pistol. After they got used to that I had them shoot the Ruger GP-100 357 mag with light 38 loads. After that they shot my CZ 75BD 9mm. My niece is from California so I couldn't let her go home without shooting the RRA AR. I was surprised how good they both shot. I even taught them how to pick up brass.:D

Sounds a good day all around! Your niece will probably hear a slew of West Virginia jokes but she will have the last laugh! :neener: What did she niece think of the RRA? I gotta get me one of those but I'm afraid it's a few years down the road (need to stop buying reloading tools, components, and start saving $). On vacation this week and in the morning I'm heading to our family garden I have with my father-in-law and father. I'll take the P345 and try out some of my Oregon Trail 230gr RN laser casts that I loaded on top of 7.0 gr of HS-6.

I'm thinkin of getting some equipment to start casting bullets with my bro-in-law. Components aren't getting any cheaper! Do you do any casting Rusty?

They both loved the RRA. It is a sweet shooting rifle. I don't do any casting yet but would like to learn. I am starting to shoot lead in my 9mm and if I learn to cast I can load very cheap. I met somebody at the club I belong to that cast with a friend and he invited me over to watch. I wondering how much it would cost to get into with the pot, moulds, sizer and everything else it would take to get started. Have a good trip.

Now that your daughter has been shooting with you, you better start casting bullets because you will now have to load for her too. And probably her boyfriend and some of their friends.

Sounds like you had fun.
