Anybody know what a Hensley & Gibbs #20 rifle mold is? Caliber? Grains?

Well Byron I looked amd looked at dozens of designs in my 1960's H&G catalog without any luck as have nothing between #17 and 21 then looked at your attachment and found out why is that all I have is a pistol bullet catalog of theirs. No rifle listings at all so mention that it is a Rifle mold as someone may have a rifle mold list. Or maybe it was a prototype.

I only knew of them making pistol molds starting in San Diego and then moving North then bought out by Ballisti-cast of Norway? with a factory in the North East who may carry the same design if you search the net for them as even they have changed hands not too long ago.

Sorry John Paul

I have lots of files of pistol stuff in the 70's and major bullet company catalogs.

I can't find it in any of the H&G stuff I have here. You might try contacting these folks, they're supposed to be making H&G moulds and might know what it is. There are a couple of email addresses at this link.

If you could take your calipers and measure the widest part of the cavity, and also the length, someone here could probably make a fairly decent guesstimate as to size and weight of the bullet the mould would throw.

I have a 1958 Stoeger's Shooters Bible at the office, and I think it may have both Lyman/Ideal and H&G patterns illustrated. Sorry, though . . . . failing some urgent call out, I don't intend to darken the portals of that building until Monday morning. :D

Happy holiday.

Johnny,

I don't have the mold. It's for sale on the web.

I'd appreciate if you'd look on Monday.
