I would love to get one, but at 1200+ dollars:( I thought my Armalite was expensive at 1000 dollars.

I've heard that the last couple years of M1As have had some big quality issues - is this true?

The quality issues are more imaginary than real. The Springfield investment casting is more than adequate. You can always buy and install milspec bolts and op rods if you are worried. Norinco M-14's have soft bolts, other than that they are usually fine. And from what I understand LRB M-14's are full milspec.

I would love a Springfield Arms M1A loaded rifle...but everything about them screams $$$$$$ cost...the rifle costs too much, and the ammo is pretty damn expensive too.
Looks like I will be sticking with my shotgun...fun, cheap, deadly.
