I always wanted to try a 41 Mag and finally did it. Here is my new baby. I shot it this morning with my first "starter" load. I will be fine tuning it and looking for a good plinker load as well.

Here (http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=3642262#post3642262) is where I asked for suggestions for loads.

That is a fine looking revolver, Walkalong! What powder and bullets did you start out with?

If you don't reload, check out GA Arms for ammo. It is not bad stuff and they have a low powered "plinker" load for 41 mag. Prices are reasonable although I have not been to their web site in a month or so.

I have a new one that looks just like yours except for the white lettering on the barrel. Hope you enjoy shooting the 41 magnum as much as I do.

Nice gun, I hunt a lot with .41 mags and the 7 1/2" Stainless scoped Redhawk is one of my favorites. I changed the grips to soft Hogues to soften the recoil and it is a good gun.

Enjoy your new treasure.

Beautiful Firearm....In the worlds Best caliber....

Yo will love it. It is superior in penetration to a 44 magnum.

If you reload...try a Hornady JHTSC.. I think I have the letters right...in a 210grain. It is a jacketed hollow point silhouette round that is just extremely awesome on Wild Boar and the like.

Great purchase...and as above welcome to the cult...

Present to myself for my 41st birthday.

Barrel markings from simpler times.

(Did you know that most of the guns used in the original "Dirty Harry" movie were actually .41's?)

Nice Blackhawk. I have a .357 without the silly warning on the barrel. :)

I shot it again today. I loaded up some Sierra 170 JHC bullets with 5.5 Grs of N330 real quick and went out. It turned out to be lighter than I was looking for, but very accurate. I shot some full loads with 17.0 Grs. AA #9 this time as well. Lots of fun. I really like the express sights. If I could get the 6th shot in the group I would be doing OK. :)

I've heard of safe queens, but jeez!!! It looks like you gave the gun your desk chair in that picture!!! That is really over the top!!!!

Sweet gun. Enjoy.

You got yourself a sweet gun. To top it off in one of the best calibers that I have ever had the honor of shooting and owning. Have fun and enjoy.
