I just brought home my dad's Belgian Superposed, choked modified and full. Went to the club today and discovered a problem. When the selector is set to shoot the 'over' barrel first, it will fire both shots. When the selector is set to shoot the 'under' barrel first, it fires the first shot but not the second. Am I headed to the gunsmith, or is there something I don't know?
Thanks!

Try Midwest Gun Works, they're a Browning authorized repair center. The work they've done for me was superb.

You're headed to a gunsmith. Browning O/U's use an inertia trigger system to set the trigger for the second shot and it's not resetting in the U position. Should be an easy fix.

Usually a gummy action or crudded up. They aren't for tyros to dissasemble however. If you could remove the stock (bolt under recoil pad) you could brake clean, blow with air and soak with Marvel Mystery oil, then blow with air and lube with non gumming oil (Rem oil is good)and bump the butt a few times on the carpet with snap caps in chambers.

yeah, probably just needs to be cleaned, but ammo can make a difference as well as how you are holding it since both can effect the way the gun recoils. Mine used to do that sometimes, although generally only when it was REALLY cold (like NY sub zero winter temps)
