I have a Colt I am looking to buy. It is a Colt Detective Special Serial number M166xx Have to Card board box and papers. It has been shot but very little the blue is spotless. Looks like there is a Model number of the box "D-1425" Any idea what it is worth? A born on date would be cool too.

I think that dates to 1975 or 1976, prices go between 350.00 and 500.00 on Gunbroker or Auctionarms. Have a couple myself, if you can, make that buy. You can't go wrong with the classic revolver.Here are mine.

Thanks! I hope to get it. I'll post some pics if I get it. It doesn't have the factory grips which is sad but it's still in pristine shape
