I read an article from a Brit paper, a few years back, where Islamics in one "enclave area" wanted British government approval to institute Sharia in that area.

I'd say that there are just enough "Jihadist" types out of the total population to be truly troublesome. The further problem of course is that too many who are not activists are sympathetic to some degree.

Anytime groups have a stronger allegiance to their religion than to their citizenship, there will be problems.
