Is the .40S&W cartridge the compromise for the 9mm & .45acp enthusiasts? Not sure? I do believe it contributed to the downward spiral of the 10mm and demise of the Bren 10.
This is the only .40 I have and I must admit very little difference in its shooting capabilities. The snappy recoil often mentioned is probably over-stated. However, I can see why this is becoming such a popular format for law enforcement agencies.
This Korean pistol digests JHP’s as well as FMJ and no complaints in terms of its reliability. The POA is a little off during a bench-test: a little low….Of course, like its 9mm counterpart, the “fast-action” is nice even with the trigger creep.
At $315 n.i.b., it certainly is a good value for those that want more “bang for their bucks”.:)

Mad Magyar, no offense, but how many different range reports are you going to post for the same gun? Here are your others, including one from three days ago:

Hi,

You didn't mention the bullet weight you are shooting so . . .

POSSIBLE GOOD NEWS FOR YOUR POA PROBLEM . . .

FACT: THE LIGHTER THE BULLET IN A HANDGUN, THE LOWER IT HITS!

In other words, if you are using 155 or 165 grain ammo in your .40S&W, moving up to a 180 grain bullet will raise the point of impact!

IF . . .

If you are already using 180 grain ammo, a LITTLE removal of the front sight's top surface will also raise your POA . . . although I wouldn't do it until you are sure that you have found your favorite load.

First though, experiment around with your ammo.

BTW, the 180 grain loads, all other things being equal, kick with a little less of that .40S&W "sting" vs. the 155 and 165 grain loads, for some reason.

Enjoy your new .40S&W, and I hope this helps!

T.

Thanks S&Wfan...I did shoot some 155 SilverTips....I'll check it out again....
BTW, this is the DH40.....To clarify my last report mentioned by Shear_Stress, it was the DP51C....As far as touting the same pistol, we have new forum members every day that have no idea about certain pistols on the market and their capabilities....I certainly do not read each post that comes up, only those that interest or relates to my collection and past experiences. In this case, I believe in promoting the Daewoo like many with the CZ, Sig, Glock, etc...
If I had a nickle for similar & duplicates posts, well you know how that goes...:)
Oh yes, I've taken you off my list to inherit my 547. Private joke...

if I recall correctly the Bren was gone before the .40 S&W was even invented.
Myself, I think you are correct..About a 7 year differential...

With all due respect, there is a difference between different people posting the same information and one person doing so. If you ackowledge that there's a problem with redundant information on these boards, than why contribute to it? I also get really tired of hearing about the same Glocks, Sigs, etc. time and time again, but you've got pretty much identical Daewoo posts going back two years. It's weird to me to post this kind of information in the vain hope that a new Daewoo owner will happen to stumble upon it when they could simply start their own thread or use the search feature. I know this is not your intention, but it seems like trolling.

Anyway, I've made my opinion clear. If you'd like to continue this debate, let's take it to another thread.

However good their guns might be, I've seen enough of their crappy cars to scratch them off my list.

I do believe it contributed to the downward spiral of the 10mm and demise of the Bren 10.

The comment about the .40 contributing to the lessening in popularity of the 10mm is correct but if I recall correctly the Bren was gone before the .40 S&W was even invented.
