45ACP POI problem

My load for 45 ACP is a 230 grain Berry's bullet,5.6 grains of 231 and Winchester LPP. In my Glock 30, it is about 1" low at 10 yards with 230 grain Remington UMC at POA-POI. The problem is in my Glock 21. At 10 yards,my reloads are about 5" low with the Remington UMC at POA-POI. Would this appear that my reloads are too slow. I try to reload on factory velocity. My Speer #10 will allow some increase in the charge weight. Byron

Before increasing your powder charge, try decreasing it instead.
Sometimes this works. [And sometimes it doesn't.] But try it anyway...

If you slow the bullet down it is in the bbl longer during recoil and should raise your impact point up. I have seen this in magnum hanguns with heavy bullets but the theory should apply to the .45acp as well.

Thanks pumpkinheaver...I had forgotten why it might work...Just knew it would...

As Pumpkinheaver posted,
1. Increasing the velocity may Lower the impact point (barrel rises less before bullet exits) and
2. Lowering the velocity may Raise the impact point (barrel rising higher before bullet exits)
3. These general rules may change if you are at extremely low velocities or if the changes in velocity are extremely large.
Good shooting and be safe.

First of all Thank Y'all for the help. This is why I like The High Road.
I used another old manual,Hornady 3rd Edition. It gave 6 grains as max load.It did raise the impact much to my surprise. For some reason, the 5.6 grain charge of 231 and lower gave eratic grouping in my glaock 21. The groups were acceptable for an old vet. Byron

At 10 yards, bullet speed will not make a noticeable difference. Longer barrel time shoots higher @25 yds. so we say, but i doubt that it can be proven. Your mind will make you correct your sight picture when u know your shooting low.

Or have a gunsmith file a bit of the top of the front sight down (off). That will raise the POI...

I went to the range and fired the 4/10th load increase. I was pleased at 7 to 15 yards. At 25 it did shoot a bit high but that is OK. Thanks for all the help. Byron
