Any ideas, that don't involve buying anything more expensive than $20, or going to a gunsmith? The only local gunsmith I know of doesn't seem to believe in telephones or e-mail, and his website says visits are "by appointment only." :rolleyes: How he gets business is beyond me.
No luck using a pin punch, even with a 12 pound sledgehammer. Those guys weren't messing around when they put this pin in!
Right now my best idea is to drill a hole in a piece of wood for the pin to go through, another hole in another piece of wood to hold a cut-down pin punch, and duct tape those to a vise for a makeshift pin press. I don't know if a small hand vise could generate enough pressure to get this pin out, though.
