Does anyone have the instructions on the correct procedure to swap the magazine release on a Sig 229 for a lefty? I realize some people will say "just use your index finger." Point taken, but I would like to know the procedure to do this so I can try it for myself.
I searched the site but I didn't come up with anything. Thanks in advance.

You can try:
1. Go to Sigforum.com and post in the armorer's section. Someone may have some instructions they can e-mail to you.
2. Get the Armorer's DVD from Sigforum (made by two well respected members). I think Top Gun Supply has it in stock. It will show you that procedure, as well as detail striping procedures
3. Get the video/dvd from the American Gunsmithing Institute. It will demonstrate that, as well as a detailed stripping.
I've got both of the dvd's. It's not a difficult thing to do, with the right tools. But for me to try to describe it to you on the web, well that could be problematic.
Best of luck.
