Can anyone inform me as to the legality of buying a shotgun from an FFL without a stock, as in, obviously not a hunting gun. I've seen them in stores, but wasn't sure whether or not you needed an NFA license/paperwork. I live in TX if it makes a difference.
thanks.

18" barrel and a minimum length of 26" makes it legal for any Texas resident 18 or over.

are you talking about one equipped with a pistol grip? if so as long as it has an 18" or longer barrel and a min. over all length of 26" you are good to go. you can even a a stock later if you wanted to.
