SIG 220 Carry DAK Vs. HK USP Compact LEM for CCW?

I am a big HK guy, and have never been into sig because as a lefty there controls are a real pain to reach. But since the DAK trigger doesnt require me to fumble for a safety and I can overhand or slingshot the slide Sig is now a possibility. I know the Sig's height is .5" more, which is a big deal in CCW if that .5" is in the grip, but it is also thinner.

So here is what I have so far, please let me know if you have anything to add or correct

They both have equal capacity
The Sig is 4.8oz heavier
the HK is 4.4" shorter in height
They are about equal in length
The HK is thinner at 1.14" vs 1.5"
I am used to the LEM and love it, but the DAK is more crisp although heavier throughout the pull
The Sig seems as though its shape would be more comfortable to carry
The recoil is less noticeable in the USP compact
The is quite nice...but then again I am used the USP full size grip so I am a bit biased.

Thats what I have so far, its about neck and neck with the USP Compact edging out ahead...can anyone that has more experience with Sigs or HK's for that matter add anything that may help?

Try thte P2000 in .40 S&W. Get it with an LEM to match your P2000sk.

LOL you followed me from HK forums...ya I am thinking about the p2k, as well as the USPc-T with a LEM conversion, just getting a few more opinions hopefully from people that dont worship HK like I do.

Personally, I don't see many advantages with the 220 Carry over the 220.

The Carry is shorter in the barrel, but that's easy to conceal. The non-Carry is actually .1" thinner. Same capacity. Of course the 220 is a little heavier, but everyone says it handles better.

I'd look at the 220 Compact vs. the USPc. Of course you don't have quite the capacity, but it's shorter, as thin as the Carry, and it's smaller where it counts - in the grip. Just an idea...

Damn, tuff call I love my SIG's but the few H&K's I have shot are sweet as well. Just for me I would lean toward the Carry-220 with the DAK and order it with the newer Short reset and action job from the factory, ditch the wooden grips if it came with them and go with the older style hard plastic.

Not much help I know , but what the heck,:D
