Fella's;

There I was, minding my own business, cleaning my Kimber. Whereupon rotten Commie sabateurs flanged the bright steel spring retainer straight up into the flourescent light fixture, and it dropped into some crevice, nook, cranny, I know not where.

After spending a lot of time & energy looking for it, I hit upon the idea to just go ahead & order one from Brownell's. No go. How's about Numrich then? No go. Haven't found the part on Midway's site. Kimber's site doesn't seem to want to let me order parts.

Could somebody please direct me to a place where I can order another one?

Thanks, 900F

Define "Spring Retainer". Recoil or firing pin...

Are you talking about the recoil spring plug?

Im assuming you mean a recoil spring plug http://www.midwayusa.com/ebrowse.exe/browse?TabID=9&Categoryid=16049&categorystring=10636***10560***8806***16006***

you can fit a new plug to your guide rod if its full length as most kimbers are, or if its standard, there really shouldn't be anything to fit, easiest method for full length is to get a wilson matched set or shock buff. Kimbers are for the most part compatable with colt standard GI/commander parts

the kimber parts to be used on kimper pistols usually don't require much fitting if any at all, this is the direct storehttp://www.kimberamerica.com/shop/section.php?xSec=7

Give Kimber a call at (914) 964-0771 Ext: 324
Tell them you certainly didn't expect it to launch like it did.........sound real surprised. :) Ask if you can buy one and maybe they'll say no and just put one in the mail.
