Good price for a new 870 Marine Magnum?

I see that Bass Pro Shops is advertising a 'sale' on the nickle coated 870 Marine Magnums for $419. Is that a good price today? I checked the Remington site but didn't see prices listed. I saw a review from late 2006 that quoted a $348 NIB price!? I don't see any on the net for anywhere near either price. Any comments from current owners on this model will be appreciated also. Thanks for any input.

If you can get one for that price, jump on it. I don't think I've ever seen one here for less than $500, and they're trending up towards $700.
You mileage may vary, of course.

It's hard to believe that there has been only *one* response to this question.:banghead: Maybe I should have posted the infamous "Help me buy a gun" to get responses. But I didn't want random input. I was hoping for specific model owners to respond.
Or maybe no one that owns the Marine Magnums them likes them. After many THR searches, I didn't see any pricing details, but I did find that Ala Dan has one, so that's a recommendation right there, since he was one of the first guys to ever respond to one of my first posts here.
Anyway, thanks to AeroDillo for the feedback. FWIW, when shopping at Bass Pro Shops, I learned that if you apply for their credit card, you can get 12 months no interest and save another 10% on your first purchase on the card, which brings the price down to $377. Now that makes it a real good deal, based on gun shop Net searches. Maybe I'll buy two at that price!

True...but it could also be that the price is prohibitively expensive, especially when a solid used 870 can be had for $200 or less.
I'd love one, but...if I have $800 in the account and waiting to go, it's going to sit there until it magically transforms into an M1A.
Good luck with the new toy. :D

$419.00 is a screeaming deal on these!
The Regular Nickle ones go for $519.95 wholesale.
The XCS ones go for $609.95 wholesale.
Buy the Bass Pro shop ones at $419.00 and sell them on Gunbroker for $536.00.
All you have to do is sell four of them and you get yours for free.
To find these on the net go to gunbroker.com and type in "870 marine" in the search field.

How long was this sale supposed to last? I was quoted $ 599 for a new MM just yesterday!!!
Please let me know - I'd love to save $ 180!

The sale was over after Labor Day weekend. It was their Fall Hunting Classic sale (or some such name), and I was told by the sales clerks that the same sale items were not available everywhere.

I paid $520 for mine almost 2 years ago here in California. This was on sale.
