I thought I would post a picture of my 3 gun shotguns...

Winchester SX2 Practical MKII 12gauge
Winchester 1300 Defender 12gauge

The MKII is relatively new and only has a couple hundred rounds through it. I really need to get going and put a couple of cases of buck shot and slugs through it. The Defender of the other hand, has thousands, actually tens of thousands of rounds through it and continues to function perfectly. Both of them really like Federal Premium 9 pellet 00buck shot and Winchester Foster slugs, thank the Lord they didn't have different taste in ammunition.

Which set of sights do you like better?

Very nice shotguns! I've a Winchester Defender 1300 too. But with wooden stock. The same fibre-optic from trueglo is on my defender 1300 too.
What a bummer that Winchester discontinued the production!

The sights on the MKII are obviously higher than the 1300 and require some getting used to with the altered cheek weld. You really need to practice the presentation a lot to get the cheek weld grooved in, and then you are good to go. I am thinking about one of those little red dots for the MKII...

Tapiocca FN still makes these shotguns, in fact the Winchester SX2 pictured above was made by FN in Belgium.
