I am adhereing(SIC) to the spirit and letter of thr rules.
could the mod removing them tell me why so that I may learn from my mistakes?

It is, but I don't know if the mod in question has seen it.
All I know about that one particular thread was that a bunch of stuff got edited. There were some questions about what the author was trying to accomplish, and if he was misusing THR. You may have just got caught up in the general clean up before it got locked down.
If you had done something bad, the mod probably would have PMed you. My guess is that your thread got inadvertantly "smooshed" in the clean up, and that happens sometimes. But I'm just guessing, I wasn't involved.

There were a lot of posts that amounted to either casting accusations of trolling, making snide comments, or just generally posting stuff that got in the way of the debate.
No offense was meant, and editing out the superfluous posts was done to streamline the discussion.
