My good friend, who recently retired from LE, is looking into getting an armed security position in Florida.

He expects to be working about 20-25 hours per week in both indoor and outside conditions.

Since he had to turn in his LE issued vest upon retirement, can anyone suggest a good bullet proof vest he can buy for under $500?

If possible, please provide brand, NIJ level, etc.

Thanks...

 :D :p

David...

Do you have any assault weapons? Saturday Night Specials? Cop killer ammo? No?

None of us have any bullet proof vests, either. Some of us do have body armor, though.

I bought a surplus Point Blank Level II vest about 2 1/2 years ago that appeared to use unused ($50 + shipping). A group of us tested an old Second Chance Level II a few years ago. The vest was 10 years old, and stopped everything up to .44 Mag. (Stopped the FIRST .44 round, too.)
