I recently picked up an XD and since it is a newer pistol it's hard finding holsters/sights...etc for it. I'm just trying to get a list of what people have tried with this pistol for holsters and also to find out if any of you have problems with your finish.

Brian, Here's the xd forum with all the info you need http://www.hs2000talk.com/. I have a comp-tac kydex for mine. But there are quite a few other companies that make holsters. Also sig sights fit the XD, you can get adjustables with or without fiber optic and Ahleys too I think. As for the finish it is just ok.I refinished mine with teflon moly. Mark

I've got a Blade-Tech Ultimate Concealment Holster for mine, for IWB carry. Keeps the pistol close to the body and retains very very well. Sidearmor (http://www.sidearmor.net) is now making holsters for the XD / HS2000 too.

Thanks for the links. I'll check it out. I'm very happy with the gun and since it's not going to be used for carry for a while I'm trying to see how many rounds I can go at the range without cleaning. I cleaned it when I bought it and lubed it with tetralube and I'm currently at 750 rounds with no problems. I'm using quality ammo and have tried everything from Corbon to Winchester White Box.

The XD series handguns are dovetailed for Sig sights!!! So they wont be hard to find. The rest of the guys have the websites for the holsters and gun covered. :)

Good luck!

On the XD forums is a company called Gunners Alley, they have a full line of holsters for the XD, I got the Frist Close Cropped #8 for mine and I love it, I like leather better than the others. I carry my XD everyday (CCW) and have had no problems with the finish altho Ive heard some people do. You can also get XD factory mags at the forums and a full length gude rod that takes a Springfield compact spring, I like it better than the spring system that comes on the gun.

Try the Milt Sparks VersaMax 2 as a nice leather IWB holster. I really like mine, and have them for multiple pistols. Kydex is good stuff, but I prefer leather for IWB as being more comfortable and form-fitting.

YMMV/FWIW
