Hey guys need some help, please. Just got my 10/22T. Had my power custom base, burris signature zee rings and my scopechief waiting. Tried mounting the rings to the base, but there's a lot of movemnet even after tightening the screw on the bottom of the rings. the rings can't be moved on the base forward or backward. But there's a lot of up and down wiggle room. What am I not thinking of here,? Shouldn't tightening the screw on the bottom of the rings tighten the fit to the base, until it's on tight without having any play at all? Thanks for the help.

It kind of sounds like maybe the screws are too long.

What I mean is maybe the screws are possibly bottoming out before they get a chance to tighten up.

Any possibility some debris got into the screw holes before you mounted the rings?

Thanks for the input guys. Turned out just needed to tighten it more than I'm used to tightening slotted screws.
