I'm 25 years old, and am interested in taking up bow-hunting. There are 2 reasons that I would like to start, one is, I would just like to get out and try something new... The other reason is also the main reason, and that is: my girlfriends dad loves hunting, and I'd like to get out of the basic sports and common talk, and enter his world, and be able to have something in common with him that is a passion of his... I want to be able to bond with him for years to come.... So my question for who ever responds is: how do I get jump start into bow hunting, so i can talk about and learn to bow hunt???

Howdy Billy. Welcome.
Is your girlfriend's dad a bowhunter? If so, I can't think of a better way to "bond" with him than by asking him personally to help get you started.
I myself have been a hunter as far back as I can remember (I'm 59) but have never bowhunted. I'm concidering giving it a try though. But the thing is, I only know a few people who bowhunt and I don't even know them all that well. So what I'll probably do is go to the local archery shop (there's one in town) to purchase the equipment they recommend and take some archery lessons. The rest I can probably figure out on my own seeing as how I've hunted big game with rifles and handguns for so many years.
However, if you've never hunted at all, you're probably going to need a mentor. And your girfriend's dad sounds like the perfect one. I'm sure he'd love to help you get started and you'll learn about hunting at the same time.

Listen to this. The best way to get to know someone and be friends with them is to show an interest in what they are interested in. When you are leaning be sure you don't take his criticism personally.

Yeah, follow his lead in the selection of and use of the bow. You oughta be able to be skilled enough by next year's season to be effective, if you work with it and practice.
Insofar as the actual hunting, the more time you spend in the areas where you will be hunting, the better. Early mornings, late evenings: Just sit and watch for an hour or two, as often as you can.

Sounds as if you asked the right question, you just posed it to the wrong audience . . . ask it of your GF's Dad . . . guys love their Daughters and most are quite fond of serving as a mentor. What better ground on which to know one another.

You may also find that you really enjoy the challenge of bow hunting. I started bow hunting about 3 years ago, and this season I will mainly hunt with my bow.
