I've Got the CZ Redhead Deluxe I bought for the same reason. I haven't had a chance to use it much, and I'm not a hard-core trap or skeet shooter but so far I love it. The people who I do know that use the CZ for trap and skeet all seem to be happy with it.
When I researched the Redhead there was far more positive than negative input from shooters. It may not be as nice as your high dollar guns, or be the best choice if you plan to be a real hard core trap and skeet shooter, but for the money you cant beat it.
An added bonus is that it's a gun you can actually take out into the field and hunt with and not worry about it getting scratched.
I don't know if this translates to the mallard or not, but I hope this helps.

I do believe the Mallard has double triggers. Not too fun for me - but you might like it. It's an inexpensive gun so taking it to the field and banging it around shouldn't be an issue.

Good luck. It'll be a good gun for you.
