I was chatting with a friend today about the good ol' days of British IPSC, before th handgun ban, and how most everyone used .38 Super. It got me thinking about that particular cartridge and I realised that while you can get rifles in .357, .44 mag, 9mm, .45 ACP etc, I've never heard of one in .38 Super. I know Armalon here in the UK will make an Enfield carbine in it in request but as far as I know they've never actually built one. Has anyone heard of a rifle in this cartridge?

Furthermore, what do you think ballistics would be like? I know some cartridges like .357 get a big boost from the longer barrel, what about .38 Super?

Just some crazy talk :neener:

The Spanish Destrpyer carbine was chambered in 9mm largo, and will accept 38acp and 38 super cartridges. Whether this is safe is another question.
