Should I do it?

Do you have any good suggestions/alternatives?

I found paint at Brownells to do the job:

Specifically, I'm thinking about getting the "Ghost Glow Kit".

It will be used for home defense and possible 3 gun matches.

I had thought about using that same glow paint on my HD 590's ghost ring sights, but without knowing how long it glows in the dark for after being "charged", it may not do any good. then when it wasnt glowing (in well lit places or when the "charge" has run out), instead of the nice bright orange sights I had, now I have dull, off-whiteish, less visible ones ones....
I have pretty much decided that If I'm going to do anything for low/no light, I'll just do it right (IMHO) and have a tritium vial installed (assuming it can be done, I havent actually looked into it).
YMMV though, for all I know maybe it glows for 12 hrs, and the "non-glowing" (daylight/well lit area) color of the paint is plenty visible.If you try some out, let me know what you think of it.If it works it'd be WAY cheaper than tritium....

My thoughts exactly. I'm thinking that I could add a vertical stripe to the middle of the front sight and keep the factory orange paint on the left and right I'm not sure what to do on the rear sight. Currently, that is just flat black. Should it be just accentuated with a dash on the left and right or should I paint the entire perimeter of the ring?

I've read that Testor's paints, in a high visibility color, are good, but that stuff is difficult to remove if I don't like it. I have no idea what the Ghost Glow Kit paint would be like to remove.
