Beretta CX4...Who wants one?

I want one. I'm a left-eye dominant, right-handed shooter, so this gun's reversible ejection port will accomodate me.

I like it's take-down ability, and compact size. It looks great to me as well.
I am now waiting for them to hit the shelves so I will be among the first to get one. I'll put it in a Starlight or Storm Hardigg waterproof case.

Anyone else awaiting anxiously for it?

I'll take one as soon as they offer higher capacity magazines.

BTW, nice accessory.:D

Is that legal in California?

The 9mm version uses Beretta 92 mags. You can insert 92fs 15-rd mags in these babies.

I thought about picking one up in .45ACP to replace my M1 Carbine. Then I saw that it only has an 8 round capacity in .45ACP. No thank you. If Beretta decided to at least offer a 10 round capacity or if they offered a high capacity magazine assuming the AWB sunsets, I might consider it again.

You can get the HK USC.

I like the idea of a semiauto .45ACP carbine. But I don't like it nearly enough to spend THAT kind of money on it.

I may rethink the decision on the USC if high capacity magazines were offered for it, but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a 10 round capacity. Truthfully, if I did decide to spend over $1000 for a .45ACP carbine, it would probably be on one of the Auto Ordnance semiauto Thompsons before I looked at the H&K.

I was skeptical about it, but am starting to think it'd make a nice chopper to plink with.

I want to handle one first, but I do like it so far.

You can send that M1 Carbine right over here... I'll take it. I need 2 of them... One to keep as is, and one to... turn into a bullpup.

Is the LOP adjustable?

I came to this forum to start this very thread. I too am right-handed but left-eyed dominant (wayyyyyy dominant, as in, can't see diddly, right-eyed)

The AmRifleman article sure piqued my interest, to the point I'm thinking of doing some inventory moves to make room for a carbine and a 92f.

according to the Spanish Website i posted here last month, there will be a 3 round burst military version with a collapsing stock

the LOP on the thumbhole civilian version is adjustable with stock spacers

maybe we can get the telestock in the fall of 2004

Nice gun, but I think I'll stick with my Marlin 1894C .357 Mag.

BTW, let's not count our chickens before they're hatched. There is a long way to go yet before Sept. 2004. Who knows what could happen in the interim? Spoiled brats with a chip on their shoulders who think they have it so bad shooting up another school, terrorist idiots guided by a "religion" that demands death for non-believers (established by an illiterate man who married a 9-year-old girl--these are FACTS folks, not smears) shooting up a crowded mall, etc.

My 96fs could use a big brother. I think I'll put the CX4 on my list. It's already a justified purchase, since I don't have a carbine. :D

If only they'll make the CX4 in 10mm! Argh! But I'll settle for 9mm.

Which caliber will you get the CX4 initially for? (You can change calibers by changing uppers).

Why, I'd have to get it in cool 9mm of course.;)

Can anyone compare the CX4 to the USC? Anybody have experience with both?

I got a reply from Beretta concerning the release of the CX4

"Thank you for your interest in Beretta products.
The CX4 will be shipping the last quarter of this year.
9mm will be out first with others soon to follow.
This model will not be offered in California.
MSRP is $687.
Check with your Beretta dealer on their order status and availability.
Best Regards,
Beretta USA"

I was drooling over this thing when I read about it in American Rifleman. Price is really good and it is damn sexy!

I want one in 9mm.

Here's a question.

What scope would give it the best functionality and tactical look? What are you planning on mounting on it?

Well, I want one, but my state says I can't be trusted with them.

The MARS sight used on the TAVOR would be awesome... but I guess I am going to have to settle on a Bushnell Holosight. A Tasco Optima would be slick too.
