SW40F (Sigma)

I was looking at one of these at my FFL Saturday.
Previously, down at the range, I had the opportunity to shoot the 9mm version. It was accurate enough, but as has been pointed out many times here, it takes a crane to pull that trigger!!!
The trigger on the 10mm kurz version was long, but only in the 5-7lb range. The shop has had this gun since 1994. They only want $350 for it and, God help me, I'm giving it a serious look!!! :what:
Somebody talk me out of this before I (possibly) do something I'll regret!!! :banghead:

I've always heard it was the 40F's that had the most problems in the Sigma line, but the one I had was flawless for several thousand rounds.

My (current) justification for this is that for $350, how can I go wrong!! Trouble is, that since my re-admittance to the Cult of The Dark Side, I want another G19!! :banghead: I'm of two minds here!!! Help me Lord Gaston!!

Does it have the Martha Stewart felt around the trigger? If it does pass on it if for no other reason than felt has no place on a pistol! :what:

Sorry, can't talk you out of it. I have one that's around 7-8 years old. Works fine. No problems. Still like my Glock 17 better. Plan on keeping the Sigma, though.

This seems a bit high. I bought a Sigma .357 about a year ago for $289 and it was brand new (dealer was a S&W stocking dealer and had it for too long and couldn't move it). Had a couple of problems with it. Mags wouldn't seat. Sent it back to S&W. They fixed it, did some sort of safety upgrade, and returned it to me in less than 2 weeks. I'd probably get another, but it would have to be under $300 before I'd even consider it.

Does it come with 2 15 round magazines? Blued or stainless? If it didn't come with the full-caps, I wouldn't pay over $200.00 for it. If it came with them, then I would pay up to $300.00 depending on condition.

The early Sigmas has a small swath of felt in the frame around the trigger. Has that been discontinued?

I used to have a Sigma 40V and it was actually a nice pistol. I did a little polishing on the edges of the stamped trigger parts, which smoothed the trigger out quite well. The grip was super comfy for my hand and it was very easy to hit with in rapid fire. I know others have had issues but over several thousand rounds of everything from mild 3D lead reloads to hot Corbons it was rock solid reliable. I traded it for 2 reasons, hi caps cost more than I wanted to pay and it`s target accuracy wasn`t all that great (say 4" at 25yds.). I sold it to a friend and he`s still happy with it. Marcus

The store owner stripped off the 15 round mags long ago, or so he says, and sold them. Currently, it has only one Klinton mag!! I am begining to think it is not really worth it!! No original mags and only one 10 rounder!! I am begining to see why it has stayed around the shop for so long!! ;)
My quest for another Glock 19 has offically begun!! Thanks Guys!!! :D
