I had to go by wallyworld yesterday to pick up a few things, and as always I meandered past sporting goods along the way. In an out-of-the-way corner of the ammo cabinet I espied a red and white clearance tag.
It was posted on their 12 gauge Federal Premium 00 buckshot, 9 copper plated pellets at 1325fps, stock #P154 00.
Closeout price was $1.50 per 5-round box. There were 24 boxes left in stock.
I asked if there was any more in the back at that price- but that was all they had. Fortunately I had $36 to spare...
I have no idea what prompted them to do this, it happens just often enough to keep me looking closely at prices every time I go past the counter though.
