Hey there folks. I haven't visited in a month or so and was wondering why there is very little discussion of the upcoming primaries and who we should be voting for.

Is this the right place to post and debate this kind of information?

Wasn't there a section called, "Legal and Political" ???

Where can we discuss the primary elections ???

Oleg elminiated the "& Political" part of the forum.

The signal-to-noise ratio was getting pretty heinous.

Politics may -- so far as I know -- be discussed in Oleg's other forum, Armed Polite Society (http://www.armedpolitesociety.com/), where many THR members go to discuss things that really aren't directly firearms related.

For the time being, this sub-forum (Activism) is for DOING something about it.

Discussions of who is better than whom and why that would be, and which candidate ROOLZ and which SUX . . . all of that belongs over at APS (http://www.armedpolitesociety.com/).

See various stickies for specifics of the changes.

Are you telling me that I cannot even mention a candidate and his platform ??? .... even if that candidate is supported by GOA ? I think you probably know who this candidate is.

If this is true. I don't get it.

MAKES NO SENSE AT ALL.

The discussions in L&P were getting seriously out of hand, with all political and virtually no legal discussion. You know what they say about discussing religion and politics, right? Besides, this forum is Olegs' personal property and he can do as he sees fit, regardless of what I, you, or anyone else thinks about it.

1911Guy,

I just think there should be an area, some area on THR where politics can be discussed and debated instead of moving it all to another website. That's all I'm saying. But, like you said, Oleg can do as he pleases, it's his website.

Thanks for the info everybody.

And this thread has absolutely no Activism in it at all.

Read the rules for this forum before posting here.

As for the gist of this post, brand new guy with 4 posts, if you go back and check the various threads about this topic, we've been over it a million times, and the horse has been beaten into paste. The "my candidate can totally beat up your candidate and you hate freedom" posts were stupid, annoying, and far too numerous.

Read the rules for Legal. Specific discussion of a candidate's statements, record, or views on guns are still fine. Everything else is crap.
