I found THR after I had been a member of The 1911 Forum
and find the stuff here more interesting because of the wider scope of subjects. However, I now find I forgot my password and
the 1911 Forum doesn't provide for that.... how do I contact them?

I've never been to the 1911 forums, but virtually all websites that require a password provide a link that will enable you to retrieve or reset your password. Usually it involves submitting your username and/or email address and they'll send a link to your email that will assist in helping you get logged back in.
