i'm afraid i might have posted this in the wrong forum earlier, but im posting here again. Sorry mods might want to remove the one from the "non-firearm weapons" forum
TARGET Closeout - BRINKMANN MAXFIRE LX - 6.48
http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?p=2061975
found this on candlepower forums when looking into lights. I ran out during lunch just now and went to TWO different targets and neither of them had the light.
If you guys are able to find it at $6.48 in your area, could someone PLEASE be a good samaritan and pick me up two. I will gladly pay a slight markup and and shipping.

That link does not work for me. I also tried searching target.com for "Brinkmann" and "Maxfire" with no success. So I did a Google search and found this link that did work: http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?p=2061975

They make nice beater lights for sure. I bought mine when it was on sale at $12.99. Normally they are priced about $20.

I got one of those Brinkman lights a while ago, I recently added one of these:

It works great! It's as bright as my Surefire E2E w/ L4 head and much easier on batteries.

indie,
Thanks for the tip. I went to the local Target and they only had 2 left. I found them behind some other lights. They were not $6.48, they were $9.08. Not as good of a deal but I picked them up anyway. These are going to be glove compartment lights. These are my first non Surefire lights. I have a G2 and some of the Luxeon LEDs, the L1, L2, and L6.

I modded one of my lights with a CREE LED today. Wow! It's an awesome LED flashlight now that I have spent only about $20 on.

Since reading your post I've looked in a few Target and Wal-Mart stores to see if I could find any. I couldn't.
I've also looked at the Brinkmann site. The Maxfire LX is no longer listed and I don't see anything that looks like a replacement for it. Pity. It is indeed a nice flashlight.
