I'm looking to put a red dot on my beretta neos. It has an integral weaver rail. I will be using it for steel shooting. Anyone have some recommendations? I don't want to spend a fortune. Any pro's and cons' on tube sights vs. single element sights?

I've got UltraDot 30mm units mounted on several of my handguns. They work great!!

Check out www.larrysguns.com or www.jackweigand.com for pricing and specs.

www.bullseyepistol.com has an informative article called "Facts and Figures About Dot Sights" that you may find helpfull.

Good Luck...

I have both the Ultradot and Adco. You can buy the Ultradot direct from Ultradot http://www.ultradotusa.com/ sometimes they have some good specials. Used ones are all over the place too (gunbroker, ebay). Here's one place that has Adco's http://www.impactguns.com/store/adco_edot_compact.html do a Google search and you'll find others.
I find the dot on my Adco a sharper than the the one on the Ultradot.

I put a Simmons 30mm red dot scope on my Neos but ran into a small problem right away. The notches on the scope rail were a little too far apart for the mounting screws to lay into. I took a small rat-tail file and filed the slotted opening on the scope mounts untill it fell in place. Now its mounted and works fine.

I've been happy with my Ultra Dots, all of which are still on their original batteries after three and four years.

I've had pretty good luck with Millett, Ultra Dot and Leupold. I don't like those real cheap BSA and Simmons.

I have a c-more tubless design on my Buckmark, great to be able to sight w/ both eyes open. very light at only 2 oz IIRC. Easy to zero. About $200 from www.impactguns.com

I have an Ultra Dot on my 22/45.
Great Scope.

I have an El cheapo Tasco on one of my son's rifles and it's been a good scope so far. I think it was about 30$.

it's about as much fun as you can have with a .22 pistol.
